What the Georgia portion leans on

BRRETA carries the most weight. It is the single Georgia statute that defines every brokerage relationship and the duties that go with it, and questions test its specifics rather than agency in general.

Trust account rules, the stigmatized property rule, and foreclosure under a power of sale make up much of the rest. Each has a Georgia answer that differs from what generic national material suggests, which is why a national course alone leaves candidates short on this portion.

After you pass

Apply to GREC for the license within 12 months of passing. After that the result lapses and the exam has to be taken again.

A salesperson license has to be held by a broker before you do any brokerage work, so it pays to choose one while you wait for your exam date. GREC also sets education requirements for newly licensed salespersons, followed by 36 hours of continuing education in each four-year renewal period, including 3 hours on License Law.
