What the Georgia material covers

The Georgia section draws on the same property and casualty rules as the full Property and Casualty exam: cancellation and nonrenewal notice, binders, the FAIR Plan, uninsured motorist coverage and compulsory auto liability, alongside licensing law and unfair trade practices.

Before and after the exam

The prelicensing course is 8 hours since June 2025. Some sources still show the old 20-hour figure. Apply through Sircon within 12 months of passing, and plan on 24 hours of continuing education every two years, at least 3 in ethics.

Common questions

How is this different from the Property and Casualty exam?
It is a narrower license with a shorter exam: 95 questions in two hours, against 135 questions in 150 minutes for Property and Casualty, which also covers commercial lines.
How many prelicensing hours do I need?
8 hours since June 2025, half the 16 hours required for Property and Casualty.
What score do I need?
70 percent of the 90 scored items. The Georgia section counts toward that total and has no separate passing score.
